Patients usually only experience very mild side effects (if any) following injections, such as a transient headache for a small number of people or sometimes mild bruising. Directly after the treatment, there are often small lumps that fade after ten minutes or so.

There are a number of areas that are frequently requested for treatment by our clients such as:

• Between the eyebrows
• Wrinkles around the eyes
• Forehead creases
• Creases at the corners of the mouth
• Creased skin on the chin

We also offer treatment to alleviate pain stemming from teeth grinding or to slim the lower face. If medically necessary, we can also provide treatment for hyperhidrosis and chronic migraine.

The anti-wrinkle injections we use have been approved by many regulatory bodies including the FDA, and have been studied in trials for many years. The likelihood of any serious complications arising following treatment is very low.

There are some patients that are unsuitable for anti-wrinkle injections such as those that are pregnant or breastfeeding, or myasthenia gravis. Any conditions like these will be assessed by Dr Owen in the medical consultation prior to any treatment being performed.

Normally, results of Botox in London will start to show after 3-4 days, however it could take around 10-14 days for the maximum effect of the treatment to show.

As a guide, anti-wrinkle injections tend to last for around 3-4 months, but this figure will vary for each person. Periodic maintenance every 3-6 months will sustain the effect for longer.

Botox treatment sessions in London with Dr. Thomas typically last 20-30 minutes, making it a convenient option for those with a busy schedule. This gives enough time for the precise marking and use of the robot Juvapen which is more comfortable and much more accurate than humans!

Dr. Thomas may recommend combining Botox with other treatments for enhanced results. A personalized plan will be developed during your consultation.

There isn’t anything specific you have to do or avoid before a botulinum toxin consultation and treatment. A detailed pre-treatment plan will be provided during your consultation.
